Your order is packed in an insulated freezer bag and surrounded by dry ice to keep it frozen. Dry ice is considered a dangerous good and needs to be handled with care; which means that shipping frozen has a higher price point.
Dry ice is much heavier than traditional ice. Heavier packages go through a few more steps when shipping than standard packages.
